RFA BACCHUS (2)  1936-1962
1954.  Store Carrier,Store Issuing and Distilling ship.
GRT 3154. Built 1936 by Caledon, Dundee.327 x 49 x 23 feet. Single screw triple expansion. Relieved her namesake in 1937.
Drove off a U Boat in 1939 before serving in Scotland until 1941. Converted to NSIS in 1942 and served East Indies, Persian Gulf and Pacific Fleet train. Reverted to Store carrier at HK 1946 and thence on the UK/Med/Far East run latterly manned by Seychellois ratings. Sold Singapore 1962 and scrapped 1964.
