Built at Uddevalla, Sweden, and completed for Swedish owners as Oktania. In 1985 she was sold to James Fisher & Sons pic, Barrow, for charter for operation by the RFA. She was converted for RFA purposes at a cost of £5 million by Falmouth Shiprepair Ltd. Laid up in Portsmouth in 2007, three years earlier than expected.
