RFA FORT BEAUHARNOIS 1948 - 1962
GRT 7253. Built as VSIS in 1944 by West Coast at Vancouver as Fort Grand Rapids, renamed Cornish Park. Single screw triple expansion.
Renamed FB 1945 after a Canadian Governor. Managed on behalf of the Admiralty by Lyle Shipping. Served Pacific Fleet Train. Post war laid up Swansea before conversion to NS/VSIS and RFA manned. Malta run 1952 -56. Refitted as VSIS for Op Grapple. In 1959 helped salvage the Beaverbank.
Singapore run 1960 - 62 until laid up at Malta. Scrapped La Spezia.

RFA Fort Beauharnois. RFA Fort Charlotte A236. RFA Fort Constantine. Fort Dunvegan A160. RFA Fort Duquesne A229.
Length overall: Fort Beauharnois, Fort Duquesne 439ft; others 441ft 6in. Beam: 57ft. Draught: 27ft.
Machinery: Triple expansion engine, 2500ihp, single shaft. Speed: 10-11 knots.  Range: ll.000nm /10 knots. Complement: 115
