RFA FORT LANGLEY 1954 - 1970

GRT 7285. Built 1945 at Victoria BC as ASIS. Managed by Alfred Holt. Stored and sailed direct to join Pacific Fleet Train for the closing stages of the war. RFA manning from 1954 as ASIS. Converted at Chatham 1967 to freight Polaris, Charleston to Coulport. Laid up Devonport November 1969. Scrapped Bibao 1970. 

Fort Class Armament Issuing Ships. Built Canada 1944/5. 7374 GRT. In service until 1972.

Length overall: Fort Beauharnois, Fort Duquesne 439ft; others 441ft 6in. Beam: 57ft. Draught: 27ft.
Machinery: Triple expansion engine, 2500ihp, single shaft. Speed: 10-11 knots.  Range: ll.000nm /10 knots. Complement: 115
